Covert Ops
In 2022, the government intensified its efforts to target the DIY gun culture. They filed sham lawsuits against Indie Guns in an attempt to extort customer data through discovery. When these legal tactics failed, they escalated to economic blacklisting, pressuring our shipping carriers, banks, credit card processors, social media platforms, and digital payment processors to terminate our accounts, forcing either our closure or compliance with specific demands.
In response, we had no choice but to dissolve Indie Guns and re-establish operations under the alias 2A Dark—a place where 2A business is conducted in secrecy, under the cover of darkness, far from the watchful eyes of tyrants. Here, we ensure that all sales records are destroyed beyond recovery, so no one can use our data to regulate or criminalize our customers.
Who We Serve
Indie Guns is dedicated to shooters with a keen understanding of history’s darkest lessons. Our customers—thoughtful students of past tyrannies—recognize that government-led atrocities, like democide (the systematic killing of unarmed or disarmed populations), caused the most extensive civilian death tolls of the 20th century, even surpassing combined losses from world wars. This historical awareness reinforces their belief that “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it,” and drives them to build untraceable, self-made arms to protect their privacy, prevent confiscation, and guard against tyranny.
To preserve their freedom, these self-reliant patriots may not always comply with certain laws, fully accepting responsibility for their choices and the risks involved. However, betrayal by informants within their ranks poses a deeper, more personal threat—one that demands constant vigilance and sophisticated strategies to counter.

Founded by Lawrence DeStefano, Indie Guns has been a trusted name in online gun parts sales since 1995. Lawrence grew up in a culture where gun privacy was sacrosanct—often compared to the “seal of confession.” This commitment meant that any item purchased, including 80% frames and receivers, was kept strictly private, and businesses were prohibited from disclosing purchases under any circumstances.
This culture of respect fostered a unique camaraderie in the 2A industry, where shared values strengthened trust between buyers and sellers alike. Everything changed, however, when Lawrence discovered that online gun dealers were sharing customer data with the government. The revelation was a shock: customer information handed over without hesitation. As Lawrence processed the betrayal of once-trusted dealers turning on their own customers, a deep sense of purpose set in.
Determined to uphold his principles, he pulled his business back into the shadows, away from the prying eyes of potential overreach. With renewed resolve, he began “hunting rats,” focused on exposing those who compromised gun owners’ rights. His mission remains clear: to protect gun owners’ rights, no matter what it takes.

Tyranny and Disarmament
Joseph Story served as a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court and was renowned for his legal scholarship and profound influence on the development of constitutional law. Story’s famous quote highlights a dire warning: disarming the population is one of the first tactics tyrants use to secure their control. By stripping away the means of defense, governments eliminate resistance, making it easier for them to subjugate or kill civilians without fear of armed opposition.
